The body and cutting area is stainless steel AISI 304. The coolant tank (4 liters) is placed inside the machine body. The transparent hood in shock resistant plexiglas. The safety magnetic switch does not allow the machine to operate with the hood open. The motor is a variable speed (0-3000 rpm) 250w D.C. motor with 220v A.C. power supply. The cut-off wheel motor has a consistent torque even at low speeds. The saw is equipped with a Micrometric sample positioning system (accuracy 0,01 mm) with cross-feed movement of the sample-holder arm (travel 25 mm), a counterbalanced sliding load weight system for sample advancement, an adjustable switch to turn the machine off at the end of the cut, and a stainless steel basket inside the coolant tank collects the cut pieces.
